Selected Works
2013–2026
Selected paintings by Wiktoria Maria Florek Maceluch, bringing together the figure, the drawn line and the chromatic field.
Dense paint meets exposed ground. Drawn marks interrupt colour, while earlier gestures remain visible beneath subsequent layers.
Across this selection, these relationships recur in different forms: from the partially concealed figure to open fields of colour and densely worked surfaces. Accumulation and openness remain parallel approaches within the practice.
Stratified Chromatic Fields™
Colour acts as both field and physical substance. Raised gestures gather into clusters or remain suspended in open ground. Drawn lines cross the painted surface, establishing a rhythm of their own.
Accumulation and interval
Intimate colour studies and expansive compositions explore the relationship between concentrated activity and quieter space. Layers conceal, reveal and redirect what came before.
The independence of the line
Drawing moves freely through painted layers. Dense marks meet exposed ground; translucent forms and abrupt gestures establish different kinds of weight.
Figure, surface and colour
The figure emerges through layers of paint, at times sharply defined, at others partially concealed. Alongside these works, broad chromatic fields give colour an independent presence. Drips, veils and drawn marks carry the eye between the image and the material surface.
